Welcome to our website!

A clichéd idea it may be but Jill and I couldn’t resist the idea of setting up a website together to share our travels with our nearest and dearest.

On the 1st of September 2011, I’m going to be taking everything I can carry on my back and heading out in to the big wide world for six months on a journey of self discovery. When I reach Australia in November my better half Jill will join me and the fun can truly begin!

In the future, we’ll be expanding this website to include posts and information about our other passions. Expect to see and read:

• Film reviews. My uncle has been a projectionist for most of my life and as a result I’ve seen many films. Some have been terrible, some have been brilliant but I like sharing my opinions on them either way.
• Baking recipes. Jill is an amazing cook. She does a fantastic job on everything she tries and often bakes things she hasn’t attempted before (usually with delicious results!) I’m not optimistic about my waist line!
• Scuba diving site descriptions. Jill and I recently qualified as PADI Open Water scuba divers. We’ll be diving all over the world and will provide details of our experiences at each site.
• Image galleries of my artwork. One of my biggest passions, I love drawing and painting. Some years ago I had success with my work when it was displayed in a local art gallery but since then, I haven’t spent as much time drawing as I would have liked. I’ll be adding to my work and will display some of my pieces on this site.
